This was my daughter's first musical act she saw live. Dale Bozzio was really nice that day at Summerfest and my daughter also was able to meet and and got her autograph that day. This is one of my favorite Missing Person tunes.

A very good friend of mine was the drummer for this band, and is no longer with us. Miss you Teddy! Teddy joined up with local musicians and formed Moxy Roxx in the mid-80s, and this song was in their set list. It's a rocker! This along with Silent Soldiers was one of my favorite Axe songs.

From another album that changed my musical perspective forver, Exposed II: A Cheap Peek At Today's Provocative New Rock
This song is brilliant! Her voice, less than perfect but excuted with passion and conviction. The music with that prominate bass line...Classic!

Another great discovered treasure! Here's a fantasic bit of Power Pop from the UK. I will definitely have to listen to what other songs these guys have recorded.
Give It A Listen!
This is a true hard rock masterpiece. At the zenith of the 80s hard rock Mtv era, there were myriads of songs that flooded the genre. This one stood out and was in heavy video rotation. Back when videos were not just band performances, but little stories that either fit the song or just supported it, this one also stood out. "Is that Julie?"

There is something with Olivia's voice that makes her songs irresistable. Like a sailor to a siren. To me her voice is angelic. Fairly certain is the layered production effects, but heck...I still dig it. Here is a good one from her

Although the band itself isn't a discovery moment for me, this song is. There is nothing like finding more song on unheard albums from artists you enjoy. I loved Talk Talk ever since I heard their song Talk Talk from the album Talk Talk. Yet another benefot from the corporate greed of the Music Industry's labels.Heck, I didn't even know this was a single with an offical video.
Give It A Listen!
Iconic! When this came out it was unlike anything on the radio. It had two specific versions, and the extended version had the acoustic guitar and piano break that created that serene tone, to be interrupted by electric guitars! What a wonderous band Sweet is! The harmonies, the layers, fantastic!
Give It A Listen!
It takes some big ones to come out with a single named Jenny two years after Tommy Tutone. It is quite possible that everyone asumed a 'cover' version. It is far from it. It's a brilliant piece of Power Pop that is well crafted and well performed. This one flew under my radar, that's for sure.
Give It A Listen!
I Love this band! Finally got to see them a few years back as they were on my Bucketlist of "Bands I Have Not Seen". Three isn't much that needs to be said anout this one. It's iconic. Chrissie's unforgettable vocal vibrato kills!
Give It A Listen!
This takes me back to the early Mtv days! God bless the greedy record labels that cause the influx of music from across the pond. This was certainly a band that never would have gotten any airplay. I liked the upbeat tempo and that 50s swing sound.
Give It A Listen!
I discovered this one quite a long time ago, but it is worthy to be posted on here. Back in the late 80s when the Hard Rock scene was the forging trend, this one came in a little after that zenith. This is well crafted and would have be huge if it hadn't missed it's window.
Give IT A Listen!
This is off a compiled unofficial? release. There are TOS of great songs on here. I never heard this band before but they are everything you want in a Power Pop band.
Give It A Listen!
I remember seeing this on Mtv back in the day when it first came out. Hey, I know that guy, It's Steve Stevens!. I would know that hair anywhere! Not to mention his incredible guitar playing. I also remember whenThe Sweet came out with the original version of this. What an awesome song!

Something from my hometown! Having an affinity for various artist collections, this one depicts the reason why. Many radio stations in their local area do what they can to support the local music scene. Doing this, many times, that music never gets an official release and it’s the only way it gets any recognition. This ne is off the 2nd 93QFM Hometown Album Project. Here is a Power Pop gem that never got it’s due.
Give It A Listen!
Tis as recently discovered, but there isn't anything really special about this. It just has that early 80s sound and feel and I like it's simple structure. It reminds me a little bit of Holly And The Italians or Josie Cotton.
Give It A Listen!
What a great song out of nowhere! This was recently discovered, and I have no idea how this flew under the radar. Vocally reminiscent of David Bowie, this rocker will get stuck in your head. It’s wonderfully crafted and masterfully executed. It has that simple intricacy that flows so well. The best hook is in the chorus and pulls the song together. This one is a recommended listen.
Give It A Listen!
This seems so familiar, like a well-done remake of a 60s song, but it's not. I love the feel through to whole song, the rhythmic constant guitar and the harmonies on this. Apparently, there is a "guest" singer on this track, her name is Alicja Trout. This tune has the attitude of the post punk era I grew up with, mixed with the rebellious sound of the sixties.
