The Vapors - Sixty Second Interval (1980)

I cannot stress this enough, this is one of THE best Power Pop album I have ever heard. Their hit, The song "Turning Japanese" is the worst song on the album. It was kooky and came off as campy and everyone avoided it like the plague. Do yourself a favor and listen to the entire album. Maybe it's just me, but it's phenomenal. Start off with this one!

Missing Persons - Windows (1982)

There isn't much more to say about the music the 80s pumped out. In my opinionm the best decade in music, and it will NEVER be replicated. With a passion for female vocals, based on both audio and visual aesthetics there a many band that meet my high quality of standards. Dale Bozzio is one of them. I had the please of meeting her one afternoon prior to her performance, Quite a lovely person. Here is one of her best!

Scared Of The Dark - Summer Soul (1986)

This was recently discovered and fits either none or several genres. It has that 80s feel, but not full of synths. It's like a mix of Spandau Ballet, ABC and The Fixx. It's not Power Pop, ...just going with Pop. I think you will enjoy this one. It's light, airy and hypnotizing. Never heard of the band or this song before today. I recommended this one as a must hear.

The Supremes - Love Child (1968)

There are not too many songs from the 60s that will be on this list, but here is one. My mom was a huge Motown lover and she LOVED The Supremes. This wasn't one of the songs she would play but I really enjoy this one. I hope you do too!
